Source: South Carolina Insurance Supplement - Examination Content Outlines, Effective: September 15, 2026 (Pearson VUE publication #125010; the PDF prints no publication number on its face). South Carolina sells BOTH single-line producer exams AND a combined one, so three exams and six sections are recorded: InsSC-Prop04 "South Carolina Property Insurance Producer" (80 total items), InsSC-Cas06 "South Carolina Casualty Insurance Producer" (80), and the combined exam (140). Each exam is a GENERAL KNOWLEDGE outline plus a SOUTH CAROLINA-SPECIFIC outline. NAME DISCREPANCY, recorded rather than resolved: the candidate handbook (sc-pearsonvue-handbook L309-313) calls the combined exam "South Carolina Property, Casualty, Surety and Marine Insurance Producer", series InsSC-PCSM04 — a wider licence than the "P&C" combined exam elsewhere — but THIS document, the content outlines, heads both of that exam's outlines simply "PROPERTY AND CASUALTY". The sectionRef leads with the outline document's own heading and carries the handbook's exam name after it. The identification rests on item arithmetic, not on the shared word "Casualty": 100 scored + 5 pretest and 30 scored + 5 pretest is 140 items, exactly the handbook's total for InsSC-PCSM04, and no other combined property/casualty producer exam appears in the handbook's exam list. Counts are the outlines' own scored figures. Note that the two SOUTH CAROLINA-SPECIFIC outlines for the SINGLE-LINE exams declare "(25 scored questions)" with no pretest questions at all, while the combined exam's declares "(30 scored plus 5 pretest questions)"; each single-line exam then totals 50+5+25 = 80 items, matching the handbook exactly. WEIGHTS are scored-question counts and every one of the six sections sums exactly: Property 22+15+13=50 and 18+7=25; Casualty 23+15+12=50 and 18+7=25; combined 22+15+13+23+15+12=100 and 18+12=30. Two of these weights are NOT printed after a dotted leader: CASUALTY – GENERAL KNOWLEDGE area I ends "RELATED TERMS. 23" (a single period), and the CASUALTY and PERSONAL LINES state outlines print their area II weight after a run of spaces with no leader at all. PUBLISHER OMISSION, carried as printed: CASUALTY – GENERAL KNOWLEDGE area II ("INSURANCE TERMS AND RELATED CONCEPTS", 15 questions) has NO subtopic A. Its list begins at B. Hazards and runs B-S, 18 subtopics. The same area inside the combined outline (area V, "CASUALTY: INSURANCE TERMS AND RELATED CONCEPTS", also 15 questions) does print "A. Risk" and runs A-S, 19 subtopics. The standalone Casualty outline drops it; the codes here follow the document rather than renumbering. One printing artefact kept legible: CASUALTY SOUTH CAROLINA-SPECIFIC II.D.2 is printed "2.. South Carolina Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility" with the continuation " .. Act"; it is recorded as "South Carolina Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Act". (South Carolina Insurance Content Outlines). Confirm current weights with the testing company before you book.
