Terms of use.
UPDATED OCTOBER 2026
Insurance Pass is operated by Oddly Sunny LLC, a New Jersey company. By accessing or using Insurance Pass, including this website and any associated apps, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
What Insurance Pass is
Insurance Pass is an educational study tool with practice questions, a timed exam simulator, and readiness analytics for U.S. insurance licensing exams: Life & Health, Property & Casualty, Personal Lines, and Claims Adjuster. It includes free and paid features.
Not affiliated with any state agency or testing vendor, and no guarantee of passing
Insurance Pass is an independent, private study service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with any state insurance department, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), Pearson VUE, Prometric, PSI Services LLC, or any other testing vendor. Our practice questions are written from publicly available state statutes, administrative rules, model regulations, and published candidate handbooks and content outlines, and may differ from the questions administered at official test centers.
Insurance Pass is educational and practice material only. It does not grant an insurance license, and it does not provide the pre-licensing education (PLE) credit that some states require before you can sit for an exam. If your state requires a certified PLE course, you must complete it with an approved provider. We do not promise that using Insurance Pass will result in passing any licensing exam, apart from the limited Pass Guarantee described below. The IQ Readiness Score is a study aid and progress indicator, not a prediction or promise of a passing result.
Not legal or insurance advice
The content is for exam preparation. It is not legal advice, and it is not advice about any insurance policy, claim, or business decision. Laws and regulations differ by state and change over time, so confirm anything you rely on professionally against the current official source.
Your account
If you sign in or make a purchase, you are responsible for keeping your access secure and for activity under your account. Tell us at hello@insurance-pass.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Purchases and access
- Access is sold as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There is no auto-renewal and nothing to cancel.
- Current plans are a single line for $39, the Agent Pass (Life & Health and Property & Casualty) for $59, and Multi-Line Pro (Life & Health, Property & Casualty, Personal Lines, and Adjuster) for $79. Prices are in US dollars and may change; a change does not affect a purchase you have already made.
- Each purchase grants 90 days of access from the date of purchase. Access ends at the close of that period unless it is extended under the Pass Guarantee.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.
Pass Guarantee
If you reach an IQ Readiness Score of 80% or higher and then do not pass your state licensing exam, we will extend your membership by 90 days at no charge, so you can keep preparing for your retake. To be entitled to the extension you must:
- Email hello@insurance-pass.com from the address on your account, or tell us that address in your message.
- Show evidence that you did not pass, such as the official score report or the failure notice from the testing vendor for the exam you took, with your name and the exam date visible.
- Show a screenshot of your IQ Readiness Score of 80% or higher from before the exam, for the line you took.
- Write to us within 30 days after the exam date.
We review each request in good faith and may ask for more information to confirm it. The guarantee applies once per purchase. It covers an extension of access only. It does not cover exam fees, pre-licensing education, travel, or any other cost, and it does not apply if access was obtained or used in breach of these terms.
Acceptable use
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Insurance Pass for your own personal study. You agree not to:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly post the question bank, explanations, or other content.
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to extract or download content.
- Resell, sublicense, or share your access, or use the content to build a competing product.
- Reverse engineer any part of the service, or interfere with its operation or security.
- Use the service to take or to help someone else take an official exam in a way that breaks the testing vendor's rules.
We may suspend or end access if we reasonably believe you have broken these terms.
Intellectual property
The practice questions, explanations, readiness scoring, design, and the Insurance Pass name and logo are the property of Oddly Sunny LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. The underlying statutes and regulations are public law; our selection, wording, structure, and analytics are not. NAIC model laws are copyrighted by the NAIC and are quoted in short excerpts for study and commentary. Your purchase grants a personal license to use the content while your access is active, and no other rights.
Accuracy
We work hard to keep every question correct and tied to its source, and each answer quotes the provision it rests on. Statutes, rules, and exam content change, and there can be a delay before our content catches up. Always confirm against your state's current law, your candidate handbook, and your state's insurance department, and report anything that looks wrong to hello@insurance-pass.com so we can fix it.
Disclaimers
Insurance Pass is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that its content is complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, Oddly Sunny LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for the outcome of any licensing exam, application, or career decision. You are responsible for meeting your state's licensing requirements. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continuing to use Insurance Pass after a change means you accept the revised terms.
