Source: PSI North Dakota examination content outlines, linked from the PSI North Dakota Candidate Information Bulletin #8286 stamped 9/14/2026. Each outline PDF prints NO revision or effective date of its own; its three-line header (exam title / "State (40 items); General (70) - 110 Items" / "Duration 150 minutes") is its only self-identification, and that header is quoted per section. North Dakota publishes one outline table, not a current/superseded pair, so no edition choice arises. Every exam is 110 items composed of a State half (40) and a General half (70); that split is the publisher's own, declared in the running header of every page, and the per-area item counts confirm it -- the state areas sum to exactly 40 in all three outlines. Sections follow that split. Areas are weighted in ITEM COUNTS only; the publisher prints no percentages, so weightPercent is null throughout. The bulletin states that 5 to 10 unscored experimental questions are administered IN ADDITION to the number specified in the content outlines, so these are scored counts. Sub-topic codes are positional: the outlines carry no printed labels and nest by indentation alone. Statutory and regulatory citations printed in trailing parentheses are recorded in statutoryRefs rather than left in the title, following taxonomy/life-health/nd.json; the document's own "Ref:" prefix is dropped, as there. North Dakota sells Property and Casualty as two SEPARATE producer exams of 110 items each and no combined Property & Casualty producer exam, so four sections are recorded. *** ONE SECTION IS DELIBERATELY UNWEIGHTED: casualty_general. *** The Casualty outline declares a General half of 70 items, but its seven general areas print 2 + 14 + 22 + 11 + 5 + 8 + 5 = 67. That is the publisher's own arithmetic, not a misreading: three independent extractions (pdftotext -layout, pdftotext, pypdf) return the same nine figures, no area heading is missing or unlabelled, and the same document's State half sums to exactly 40 while the Property and Personal Lines outlines both sum to exactly 110. Recording the seven printed counts against a declared 70 would fail taxonomy:validate; altering one to make it balance would invent an allocation the exam does not state. So casualty_general carries scoredQuestions 70 (the publisher's declared figure, corroborated by the bulletin's fee/item table) with weight and weightPercent null, and the seven printed counts are recorded here instead: Federal Laws and Regulations 2, General Insurance Concepts 14, Casualty Insurance Basics 22, Personal Automobile Policy 11, Commercial Automobile Policy 5, Commercial General Liability 8, Other Types of Casualty Insurance 5.
