Source: South Dakota Insurance Supplement, Examination Content Outlines, Effective Date: March 1, 2024 (running head "Effective March 1, 2024"); the document carries no cover page and no publication stamp. Scored-question counts are the outlines' own figures, which they state separately from pretest questions. ONE PUBLISHER DEFECT is recorded rather than silently corrected: the PROPERTY and CASUALTY-GENERAL KNOWLEDGE header prints "(50 scored plus 5 pretest questions)", but that outline's own six area weights are 22+15+13+23+15+12 = 100, and the sd-pearsonvue-handbook gives the SD Property & Casualty Producer combo exam (InsSD_PropCas46) 145 questions, which is 100 scored + 10 pretest general plus 30 scored + 5 pretest state, exactly the shape the same document's LIFE, ACCIDENT, AND HEALTH combo outline prints explicitly ("100 scoreable questions plus 10 pretest questions"). scoredQuestions for combined_general is therefore 100, the figure the outline's own weights and the handbook's exam length agree on, and the 50 in that one header is a copy-paste from the single-line PROPERTY and CASUALTY outlines above it. SEPARATELY, the handbook's question counts for the three single-line exams exceed the outlines' totals by 5: the handbook gives SD Property Producer and SD Casualty Producer 90 questions each while each outline pair totals 50+5 general and 25+5 state = 85, and it gives SD Personal Lines Producer 101 while that pair totals 75+5 general and 25 state (no pretest stated) = 105. Those are handbook/outline disagreements about exam LENGTH, not about scored content; the outlines are used here. (South Dakota Insurance Supplement - Examination Content Outlines).
